TABLE OF CONTENTS

PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy. A device produces low frequency electromagnetic pulses through a mat, bed or pod while the client lies or sits comfortably. It is used in recovery, relaxation and longevity programmes.

Mats, beds and pods

  • PEMF mat: the entry format, combining PEMF with far infrared, photon light and negative ions on any treatment bed.
  • PEMF bed: a full body platform; the Alteon PEMF Bed runs 3 to 64 Hz with eight intensity levels and adds red light and vibroacoustic therapy.
  • PEMF pod: the Alteon PEMF Multi-Therapy Pod (237 x 93 x 127 cm) encloses the client and layers PEMF with graphene far infrared heat, a jade stone bed, LED light and sound therapy, with sessions of about 30 minutes.

Where it is used

Recovery centres, longevity clinics, physiotherapy practices and gyms use PEMF as a calm, passive session that pairs well with active recovery. It is not a substitute for medical advice.
